Steal This Agent #1: Turn Last Month's Most Shared Posts into Next Week's Drafts

Most social media teams use AI like a search box. One question, one answer, then back to copy-paste. "What were our top posts last month?" is a fine question, but you ask it once and nothing changes on Monday.
The real gain starts when the AI does a recurring job on its own, inside the calendar you already publish from. This is the first agent in our series Steal this agent: a ready prompt you can copy, a real run on our own account, and the exact result.
The 28-second version.
What the agent does
Every Friday morning it looks at what your audience actually shared last month and turns it into next week's drafts:
- It reads your posts from the last 30 days in ZoomSphere and ranks them by shares.
- For the top 3, it writes down why they worked.
- It reads next week's calendar notes and skips the days that are already busy.
- It drafts 3 new posts for next week that reuse what worked, sets them to To Approve and explains its reasoning in the post brief.
Nothing goes live on its own. The drafts wait in the calendar until a human approves them.
The loop: the calendar is the agent's briefing, the agent writes back into the calendar, a human approves.
The prompt
Paste this into a scheduled task in Claude or ChatGPT with ZoomSphere MCP connected:
Every Friday at 9:00, in ZoomSphere: read our posts from the last 30 days and rank them by shares. For the top 3, write down why they worked. Read next week's calendar notes and skip busy days. Then draft 3 new posts for next week that reuse what worked. Status To Approve, the reason goes in the brief.
It is short on purpose. The context does not live in the prompt, it lives in your calendar: the posts, their results, the notes your team writes above the days. Change the calendar and the agent changes its plan, without anyone rewriting the prompt.
Why shares, not likes
A like tells you the post was pleasant. A share tells you someone put their own name behind it and showed it to people who do not follow you yet. If the goal of next week's posts is to reach new people, shares are the signal worth copying.
Our real run
We ran the agent on our own ZoomSphere account on 7 November 2026. These were our three most shared Instagram posts of the previous 30 days:
Our Instagram, 30 days, ZoomSphere analytics. The most viewed post is only third by shares.
The pattern it found: all three open with one recognisable panic moment, and two of them put a time or a number in the very first line. Notice that the most viewed post is only third by shares. Ranking by views would have copied the wrong thing.
Then it read the week ahead. Our calendar had a note on Tuesday that the team is at an industry event, so it skipped Tuesday and drafted three sequels for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:00:
What the agent wrote into our real calendar for next week. Blue labels are the team's Quick Notes.
Each draft landed in the calendar as To Approve, with a brief that names the original post it continues, its numbers, and what to keep. The whole run took under a minute. Images were left for the team, on purpose.
Why it does not go rogue
- Status is the safety switch. Only Approved posts publish. The agent writes To Approve, so a human always has the last word.
- The brief shows its thinking. You do not have to guess why a draft exists. The reason sits right in the post.
- Calendar notes steer it. Campaigns, events and quiet days come from the Quick Notes your team already writes, not from a longer prompt.
Set it up in 3 steps
- Create a ZoomSphere account and a Scheduler with your channels.
- Connect ZoomSphere MCP in Claude or ChatGPT. The setup for each AI chat is on www.zoomsphere.com/mcp.
- Create a scheduled task, paste the prompt, set it for Friday morning.
Make it yours
- For carousels, rank by saves instead of shares. Saves show what people want to come back to.
- For LinkedIn, rank by views and ask for text posts that open with a question.
- For agencies, add "do this for every client workspace I manage" and let each client get their own sequels.
- Add visuals, connect a design tool's MCP as well and ask the agent to attach a draft image to each post. The approval step stays the same.
More ready prompts are in our MCP Prompt Library. Agent #2 is coming next week.
